* التركيب :
يحتوى كل قرص على :
ثنائى ايودوهيدروكسى كينولين 200مجم
فثاليل سلفاثيازول 200مجم
كبريتات الستريتومايسين 200مجم
* دواعى الاستعمال :
1-الدوسنتاريا الباسيليه الحاده والمزمنه
2-الدوسنتاريا الاميبيه والامراض الناتجه عن الاميبا
3-التهاب الامعاء الدقيقه والقولون الناتج عن الاصابه بالميكروبات العصويه
* نواهى الاستعمال :
1-المرضى الذين يعانون من فشل كلوى اوكبدى شديد اومن اضطربات بالدم
2-فرط الحساسيه لاى من المستحضرات المحتويه على ثنائى ايودوهيدروكسى كينولين او اليود
* الاعراض الجانبيه :
1-قد تحث اضطرابات معديه معويه او بهض التقلصات
2-قد تحدث تفاعلات حساسيه وتفاعلات بالجلد مثل الحكه او الارتيكاريا
* التفاعلات الدوائيه :
* قد يزيد السلفوناميد من تاثير بعض المواد مثل مضادات التجلط,الميثوتريكسات,الفينتوين او السلفونيل يوريا
* تحذيرات واحتياطيات :
1-يجب ان يؤخذ الدواء مع كميه كافيه من الماء
2-قد تحدث اضطرابات بالعصب البصرى فى بعض المرضى خاصة عند تعاطى هذا الدواء لفترات طويله لذا يجب الا تزيد فترة العلاج عن عشرة ايام متتاليه
3-عند حدوث شكوى من زغلله او اضطرابات بالرؤيه يجب اخطار الطبيب الذى بدوره قد ينصح المريض بعدم قيادة السياره او تشغيل الماكينات التى تتطلب وضوح الرؤيه
4-قد يكون الاطفال اكثر عرضه لحدوث بعض الاعراض الجانبيه خاصه عند تعاطى الدواء بجرعات كبيره لفترات طويله
5-يجب توخى الحذر عند المرضى الذين يعانون من قصور بالكلى او الكبد او امراض بالغده الدرقيه
6-فى حالة عمل اختبار الغده الدرقيه يجب اخطار الطبيب عند تعاطى هذا المستحضر حيث انه قد يتداخل مع اليود المرتبط ببروتين الدم لمدة 6شهور
7-يفضل تجنب هذا الدواء فى حالة المرضى ذوى اضطرابات الاعصاب
8-لم يثبت بعد مدى امان المستحضر اثناء الحمل او الرضاعه
* الجرعه :
يؤخذ 2قرص معاً كجرعه مبدئيه ثم قرص واحد 3مرات يومياُ او كما يوصفه الطبيب

Antidiarrheal & anti-infective
Composition:
Each tablet contains:
Di-iodohydroxyquinoline 200 mg.
Phthalyl sulphathiazole 200 mg.
Streptomycin sulphate 200 mg.
Properties:
Entocid tablets contains three synergistic components for disinfections of intestinal tract :
Di-iodohydroxyquinoline : Which is effective against the trophozites and cysts of Entameba histolytica located in the large intestine , because it is poorly absorbed from the GIT , the drug can reaches a higher concentration in the intestinal lumen and produces its potent amoebicidal effect precisely at the site of infection.
Phthalyl sulphathiazole : is a sulphonamide with properties similar to sulphamethoxazol , having antibacterial effect in the GIT especially against the Enterobacteriaceae including strains of E. coli, Klebsiella, Proteus, Salmonella, Serratia and few strains of Shigella as well as its effect against protozoa.
Streptomycin sulphate : is an aminoglycoside antibacterial agent which is not absorbed when given by mouth, thus no systemic action or toxicity is produced. However this route of administration is reserved for the local sterilization of the gut .
Entocid components are characterized by being poorly absorbed from GIT thus have local anti-infective effect in GIT.
Indications & usage :
Acute and chronic bacillary dysentery.
Amoebiasis.
Bacterial enteritis and colitis.
Contra-indications :
Patients with severe renal or hepatic failure or with blood disorders .
Hypersensitivity to Diiodohydroxyquinoline or iodine containing preparations.
Side effects :
GIT effects including: nausea, vomiting or abdominal cramps may occur.
Hypersensitivity reactions and skin reactions including urticaria or pruritis may occur .
Drug interactions:
Sulphonamides may potentiate effect of some drugs such as oral anticoagulants, methotrexate , phenytoin and sulphonylurea.
Warnings & precautions:
Adequate fluid intake is necessary.
Di-iodohydroxyquinoline may cause myelo-optic neuropathy in some patients, especially when used for a long period. Accordingly, the product should not be used for more than 10 consecutive days.
If the patient suffers from blurred vision or visual disturbance, he should tell the doctor who may advise him not to drive the car or operate machine that requires sharp vision.
Children may be likely to develop certain side effects especially if given at high doses for long time.
Caution is required in patients with renal or hepatic impairment or with thyroid disease.
If the patient must have thyroid function test, he should tell the doctor since
Di-iodohydroxyquinoline may interfere with the determination of protein-bound iodine for up to 6 months.
The product is best avoided in patients with neurological disorders.
Safety during pregnancy and in nursing mothers has not been established.
Dosage & administration:
2 tablets initially then one tablet three times daily or as prescribed by the physician .
Packing:
A carton box containing 20 or 200 tablets ( 2 or 20 strips of 10 tablets each) .
Storage :
Stored in a temperature not exceeding 30 o C.
Keep in dry place ( R.H not exceeding 70 % ) .
